Variable Sallow Moth - Hodges #9941
Moved from ID Request.

T,
I am surprised this is the first for Maryland. Congratulations!

Cuculliinae perhaps
this individual is quite worn but it reminds me of a Variable Sallow Moth – Sericaglaea signata - Hodges #9941

Especially after lightening it up a bit ...

Thanks
I had checked all the sallows in my 2012 Peterson's guide and none matched. As it turns out, this is my first Maryland moth that that guide excluded.
