Ichneumon Wasp - Spilopteron vicinum - Female

This female ichneumon wasp was in my yard which is thickly vegetated with blackberries. The woods near my yard are a mixed stand of conifers and hardwoods. It was searching the leaves in the yard with its' antennae and moving from leaf to leaf. The picture was taken at 3:20 p.m. in the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan near Lake Superior.
