Common aerial Yellowjacket (Dolichovespula arenaria)
The faint yellow stripe on the pronotum underlines the pronotal carina, absent in Vespula spp. The wide space between compound eye and mandible is visible too.
Most likely a large worker, although a small young queen cannot be excluded: females castes are often difficult to tell apart in this genus.
