Robberfly - Laphria thoracica

Robberfly - Laphria thoracica
Barkhamsted, Litchfield County, Connecticut, USA
Is this a Laphria macquarti Robberfly? It looks almost like the one on the Guide minus the white tufts of hair on hind legs. The male maybe?

Laphria
Yellow form Laphria thoracica. L. macquarti is a springtime creature. And this one has the black facial hair. L. macquarti is yellow there along with the midtibia.

Thank you. You have to know your stuff to notice that one.
