This moth was spotted flitting about in sage scrub at the Claremont Colleges' Robert J. Bernard Biological Field Station. My first thought was that it was Speranza austrinata, which we've previously identified at the field station:



But after looking at the BugGuide photos, I wonder if it might be Speranza guenearia:



Any information will be greatly appreciated!

Notice the tic marks on the costa are identical to your previous specimen.
