Lynette, thanks for another addition!
[Europe, no thanks to you for another addition!]

pls keep an eye out for them and collect any you encounter; local agro authorities, as well as any research collections will appreciate specimens.

Thanks to both of you
for the ID!

Thanks much for the great stuff you keep dumping on BG, Lynette!
E.R. Hoebeke says: "Another very interesting record of a euroweevil! I am not aware of any other documentation or verification of this species in North America. Thanks for keeping me in the loop on these new immigrant weevils that show up on bugguide." [pers. comm., received minutes ago]

Thanks again,
E.R. Hoebeke had also contacted me via email early this morning and I talked to Eric LaGasa this afternoon. As far as anyone knows at this point this is the first recorded sighting of this beetle in NA. Now if I can just collect the little bugger!

cool...

Found it
Once again... on the black railing of the dog park fence. I looked for about an hour and found one specimen.
