Purseweb spiderlings - Sphodros

I watched these hatchling spiders as they climbed to the top of a hiking trail sign post and dropped their dragline, ballooning off into the world. It was magical.

Can you tell me which physical characteristic puts this in the genus Sphodros? I'm always looking to learn more about spiders. :-)
