Size: ~1cm
these spiders were literally everywhere. Taken on goldenrod near the shore/dune area.

ID
Looks like Acantepeira stellata (Star-bellied Orbweaver) in the Araneidae family. It has 12 projections around the outer edge of the abdomen.
