Size: about an inch
They wrap around leaves and stems in a circular fashion and eat a lot.

Xyelidae
Megaxyela sp. Probably Megaxyela major which feeds on pecan. Typical feeding pattern and similar body color/ornamentation.

John, the picture looks very similar. I can't detect the antennae on the ones on my trees. They are only on my two pecan trees, nothing else and I have plums and many oaks, etc. I just sprayed with soapy water with some oil in it. Hope it slows them down.
