Ootheca of Grizzled Mantid - Gonatista grisea

Ootheca of Grizzled Mantid - Gonatista grisea

This is the egg casing of the Grizzled Mantid living in my pecan tree. I've never found these before. She has placed it on the underside of one of the lowest limbs under some spanish moss. Any idea how long to hatch in this climate?

I cropped this photo
to show more detail. Nice addition to the guide! ID Request is filling up so fast, it's probably better to post direct to the guide when you know the species - regular users will still see your shots in Recent. I've moved this to the guide, where perhaps you will get an answer to your question.
