Springtail

Springtail
Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada
April 10, 2013
Size: .42 mm
It was all over this grain of pollen but it didn't seem to make much progress chewing on it. I watched for about 5 min. It would chew for a bit, then wander around, stand beside the pollen with one foot on it (the middle one) as though to claim it, crawl on top of it, repeat.

The pollen is .1 mm dia.
