Winged mayflies are extremely difficult to identify from dorsal view. Do you have another photo of it from a different angle?

Not a problem. I posted your photo on my Flyfishing Entomology Forum, and my good friend and fellow (aquatic entomology & taxonomy) enthusiast, Kurt Schirmer, not only confirmed my suspicion regarding ID, but also dug up a post, which had been made years earlier containing some interesting discussion of color variability in this species.
