Spur-throated Grasshopper - Paroxya clavuliger

Spur-throated Grasshopper - Paroxya clavuliger
Amherst, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, USA
August 30, 2004
Photo taken in my back lawn. It could be a species of Paroxya, it's markings seem similar to this hopper:

Paroxya clavuliger?
It looks similar to the Swamp Grasshopper image on Giff Beaton's site.

Though it is quite marshy in property behind our home, I am not sure if P. clavuliger's range is this far north...

I agree.
I agree with Tony....again:-) The very long, banded antennae, and blue hind tibia pretty much rule out anything else; and yes, it does range that far north, unlike any other species in the genus.
