There are 10 known species of Bothriocera in NA. I found the another unknown one, I believe is the same as yours. You may well have a new species for BugGuide.

John and Jane, thanks. I just looked through Bothriocera, but didn't see any quite like mine.

 
Bothriocera maculata
The head and wing bases of this species tend to be more orange than the rest of the insect.
