This specimen was found dead
This specimen was found dead on the photographer's floor and unfortunately it was disposed of. She originally posted this pic on the website What's That Bug. I just wanted to let everyone here at the guide see it and maybe someone will photograph another to go along with this one. I don't have the actual size but it is similar to B. rufipes and I believe it will be close in size as well. It can be found in California, Oregon, and Washington.

Buprestis viridisuturalis
Wow, that's a very colorful buprestid. I'll keep an eye out for them...
