Colorful, blunt-horned Caterpillar - Eumorpha fasciatus

Colorful, blunt-horned Caterpillar - Eumorpha fasciatus
Baton Rouge - BREC Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, USA
September 12, 2006
Size: about 1.5 to 2 inches
I learned here that caterpillars of Banded Sphinx Moth - Eumorpha fasciata come in many colors, but this red one too?

And I will add two pictures of green ones to go along with the stripped ones I post yesterday.
They were all the the same small group of plants at the same time.

Nice!
Wow. I've been there many times and even taken multiple field trips to Bluebonnet Swamp. Looks like I need to get out there more!
