Unknown insect - Chauliodes rastricornis

Unknown insect - Chauliodes rastricornis
Fairfield, Wayne County, Illinois, USA
August 13, 2006
Size: 5 cm +/-
Attracted to lights at night but stayed put by the light for 2 days.

Moved
Moved from Summer Fishfly.

Good catch.

Misidentified
I believe this individual is actually a Chauliodes rastricornis based on the dark markings on a lighter background on the head and pronotum. The image referenced is a C. rastricornis as well.

Thanks
for the pointer. Based on the info page information (which was excellent) I've moved the image to the Chauliodes pectinicornis species page.
