I've shot them in the air, but always from the side. It's neat to see how they tuck their legs. Thanks for posting.

these things are pretty fun to take pictures of... i have been trying to get pictures from many different angles while they are in flight... or hover, but the only place i find them are a hour or so away where i like to hike... i am running out of weekends that are warm.
