Jumping Spider - Pelegrina sp? - Eris

Jumping Spider - Pelegrina sp? - Eris
Amherst, Massachusetts, USA
October 6, 2004
This shot was taken in my backyard. It was a small jumper, (about 5-6 mm), and quite shy. I compared to other images in the guide and it's markings are similar to the genus Pelegrina...can anyone ID it?

Probably Eris militaris
I believe most (or all) male Pelegrina also have white scales beneath the ALE.

Jay Barnes

Thanks Jay,
I'll move it to Eris for now unless I hear otherwise...
