Root-Maggot Fly - Anthomyia

Root-Maggot Fly - Anthomyia
Seattle, King County, Washington, USA
July 14, 2006
I found the two flies I've nicknamed Polka Dot Flies within a few days of each other. I haven't seen any since that short period of time. I apologize for the picture quality of the one facing the camera, it wouldn't let me get too close.
