Size: 20mm
Can anyone put a species on this Silphid? It was feeding on a red type of fungus.

Always thought they were carrion beetles. Should have kept my mouth shut and only be thought a fool. Thanks for the ID

Not a fool, you're probably j
Not a fool, you're probably just mixing it up (for obvious reasons) with something like Nicrophorus sp, which are Silphids/carion beetles.
