thank you,i found it crawling across the tennis court so i put it in a jar and just put some vine weed? in with it.

I see, well in that case this individual was likely looking for a place to pupate. If you allow it some dead leaves it will spin a loose cocoon inside which it will pupate. If you keep the pupae at natural outside temperatures, you can expect the adult moth to emerge towards the end of this year (November/December).
