brown wasp on shasta daisy - Polistes bellicosus

Size: one inch
This wasp spent a particularly length of time in the early (7:30-ish CDT) morning on our Shasta Daisy. Not certain if it was lapping up the morning dew or possibly "eating". Does anyone know what type of wasp this is? It was a good size.

identifying brown wasp on Shasta Daisy posted 6/5/13
Hi, I posted a picture of a brown wasp yesterday (6/5/13) for possible identification but the picture was "moved" I saw several references of what the wasp might possibly be but no verification. Is this how images are normally handled? I am aware you must receive hundreds of images downloaded every day. Thank you for whatever assistance you can provide. BTW, I just posted three pictures of a caterpillar. I cannot find one similar to it on your list but then, I've not dug that deep just yet. Again, thank you! ~InBeeAre~
