case bearing Trichoptera - Lepidostoma

case bearing Trichoptera - Lepidostoma
Keller, Ferry County, Washington, USA
July 15, 2011
Size: 5.5 mm
The integument on this specimen was extremely thin and delicate. As I teased off the flat pieces of plant material from the thorax and anterior abdominal segments, the specimen was damaged. The anterior half of the case was composed of these flat pieces of plant material (some of it lies beside the specimen in the image). The posterior half was composed of mineral grains. I wasn't able to see if there were abdominal humps since the first abdominal segment was damaged.

Moved
Moved from Integripalpia.

Possibly
Possibly an early instar Lepidostoma. Similar to (1).

Thank you.
Lepidostoma is what I eventually was able to key the specimen to, so this checks out.
Thanks.
