Mischocyttarus flavitarsis, female?? - Sceliphron caementarium

Mischocyttarus flavitarsis, female?? - Sceliphron caementarium
Alameda, Alameda County, California, USA
June 8, 2013
Size: ~ 3/4"
Looks about same size and shape as M. flavitarsis ♂♂ in area but different color scheme for e.g. abdomen/pedicel black/yellow instead of tan/black. Also, much more difficult to approach, hence photo cropped to pixelation.

Is there a way to get close to these guys? ...er, gals, maybe?

Moved from ID Request.

Completely different family (Sphecidae rather than Vespidae).

Holy Cow!
I'm sure glad I asked!
