We have had an abundance of rain and with the rain a Mayfly hatch.
Is it possible to visually know the species from it's looks?

Hexagenia
Hi Richard-

This is a female subimago of genus Hexagenia. It is likely either H. limbaba or H. rigida, which can be differentiated based upon microscopic examination of the genitalia of the male imago.
