Range
Rocky Mountain states westward.
Habitat
Cold (steppe-shrub) deserts. Nest in soil.
Remarks
This ant shows morphological affinities to both the neogagates group and the sanguinea group, but does not clearly belong in either. (Comment by James Trager)
