Appalachian Tiger (center) at puddle party with Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (front). Notice the incredible size difference and the pale blue submarginal band, much broader than that of an Eastern.

just an observation
Even though the middle and front individuals do indeed look quite different, I have to say that they really BOTH look like P. appalachiensis to me. Neither one looks like P. glaucus. Small individuals are not unusual in any of the Papilio species.

Interesting & Impressive
I thought the Giant Swallowtail was the largest, but your Appalachian Tiger seems even bigger. Quite a party!
