Scorpion - Centruroides sculpturatus
St. George, Washington County, Utah, USA
June 16, 2013
Size: 6 cm
We found this in our bedroom this morning. What type of scorpion is it? We're hoping it is not a bark scorpion.

Moved from Scorpions.

Not to worry.
This isn't a bark scorpion. It's a juvenile male isometrus species, an adventive (non-native) scorpion species.

Not Isometrus
This is indeed the Arizona bark scorpion. They have been showing up around the Las Vegas area beginning about 20 years ago.
