Harriman, Orange County, New York, USA
June 20, 2013
Size: wing span 25mm
it landed flat on water and seemed trapped by surface tension. I captured 2 images and gently lifted it with a twig. OFF it flew.

Moved from Renia.

Pretty sure this is a male Chytolita morbidalis. I downloaded the high res file and bumped up the contrast. The reniform spot and the am. and pm. lines, though very faint, are visible.

8368 – Tetanolita floridana?
The palps and antennae look OK for Tetanolita floridana but I don't see any examples this white even when extremely worn.

.
Should it be moved to Tetanolita?

Hold Off
Only a couple genera have nodes close to the base of the antennae but I'm guessing. I'm going through this subfamily. Maybe I'll stumble on something else.
