Yes - Citronella Ant winged queen (Acanthomyops sp.)
Workers of these underground ants are light yellow.

 
No yellow on these
So the swarm of them I saw above ground was all queens or males? Look like pictures of the carpenter ants I have seen also. How can you tell those tow apart?
