Walking Stick? Nymph? - Emesaya brevipennis

Walking Stick? Nymph? - Emesaya brevipennis
Valdosta, Lowndes County, Georgia, USA
June 20, 2013
I presume this is a walking stick, though I'm not sure of species. I also assume that it's perhaps a nymph/youngster? It was fairly small by walking stick standards (sorry I can't give you an exact measurement). We've had plenty of Two-striped adults in the yard over the past few years, but my oh my... this one was thin! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
