Bee or Wasp? - Lasioglossum - female

Bee or Wasp? - Lasioglossum - Female
Seattle, King County, Washington, USA
August 1, 2005
Size: 1/4 inch approx.
This is from a scanned image, so I don't have an exact date. I believe it was 2005. I would like an ID, if possible from this photo.:)
By the way, it's lapping up (nectar?) secreted from the blossoms of Lobelia laxifolia, in case anyone's curious.

Moved from Bees.

I agree, likely Lasioglossum (Evylaeus)
female

resembles L. ovaliceps but may not actually be this species

note pollen load (rules out Sphecodes)

Bee.
Probably a halictid, maybe a Lasioglossum, definitely female. A DATE would be infinitely helpful for bee identifications. Some are restricted to springtime, others to summer.

I have a date for this bee, now.
I found some of my negatives, and was able to find the date for this specimen.

Maybe next year...
Unfortunately this plant flowers from May to Fall. I have no other information to go by.
