Black Setwing - Dythemis nigrescens - male

Black Setwing - Dythemis nigrescens - Male
San Antonio area, Bexar County, Texas, USA
September 21, 2006
Here is another Black Setwing male I found after not seeing any around for a few weeks. There were a few that seemed to be out behind a shed in my back yard for over a week, then we finally got a little rain and things cooled off here a good deal. After the rain, this is the first one I found and it was not in the exact same area. This day was much warmer than it had been in over a week.

Oh and . . . It's not like I wasn't looking for any either, I was out at least every other day and usually every day for a while with camera handy. So that leads me to think they like warmer weather. Just thought that little bit of info may be useful?
