Tibicen auriferus (MALE)
Tibicen auriferus replaces T. canicularis and T. davisi west in much of the Great Plains (i.e. Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas & Nebraska).

Agreed
Since my comment is two years old when I originally identified this as T. canicularis, I have since obtained many specimens from Kansas and have not noted T. canicularis to be present there. I do have many T. auriferus from Kansas now in my personal collection and this specimen indeed is T. auriferus. Sorry to jump ship!
