Orange and Black Wasp - Scolia dubia - Female
Omaha Botanical Gardens, Omaha, NE, Douglas County, Nebraska, USA

Size: approximately 1 1/4"
This large, hairy wasp was photographed in an area with lots of goldenrod and asters. After cropping noticed the extreme amount of hair on this wasp.

Any help with ID appreciated!
