Litaneutria minor - male

Litaneutria minor - Male
Pima Canyon, Santa Catalina Mts., Pima County, Arizona, USA
September 26, 2006
Size: ~35-45mm
This fellow (gal) flew into view while I was looking at something else. Was small enough that I thought I was snapping a pic of an antlion until I got home and looked closely at the computer image. Never have seen a mantis like this. Anybody know what it is?
