A. diadematus? - Araneus diadematus
Amherst, Massachusetts, USA
October 12, 2004
This photo was taken in a field near our house. I was out taking pics of the changing foliage when I happened upon this large spider nestled between leaves of a Red Maple. With the cool temperature, I had to nudge this one a bit to get a shot of the face.

I am guessing it is A. diadematus, can anyone verify it?

Tony
That's an affirmative

Thanks Tom!
As always:)
