Size: about 70 mm
This is the same grub. It now looks much more like the adult. This photo was taken on Sept. 26, 2006. I am raising a couple of these in leaf litter and highly decayed oak wood.

Hi Scott,
You never added adult images. Did your pupae die before they could mature? If you did get adult images, please post them as they will complete the life cycle. There's also a Web site, buglifecyle.com, that would like to link to this series if it is completed.

Nice record you're making. I hope it matures to give us a complete development series. btw, this is a pupa not a larva.

 
Yes, and was it still 70mm
or do we need a new size estimate for the pupa? Based on my thumb, this is closer to 35mm now.
