Tick larvae - Amblyomma americanum

Tick larvae - Amblyomma americanum
Dixville, Coos County, New Hampshire, USA
September 26, 2006
Size: 1mm
There were 3 bunches of nymphs like this on the underside od a single raspberry leaf. When I looked at my pants legs, they were covered with these little things. Needless to say, I didn't spend much more time there.

Moved
Moved from Hard Ticks.

not nymphs
larvae. larvae are the first stage and they only have six legs. i really dont know where to go with their ID though. these ticks (unless its a vertically transmitted disease) are probably clean, at least for lyme

6 legs
That's interesting that the larvae start out with only 6 legs. Now I can see that in the photo.
