Cerambycidae: Unknown Specimen - Ataxia hubbardi

Cerambycidae: Unknown Specimen - Ataxia hubbardi
Emerado, Grand Forks County, North Dakota, USA
July 6, 2013
Size: Body Length ~ 1 cm
Hoping to learn genus, if possible. Thanks!

Moved
Moved from Ataxia brunnea.

It looks more like...
...Ataxia hubbardi based on the linear pattern of pubescence on the elytra. This species has not been formally documented from North Dakota - if the specimen was collected to serve as a voucher I would like to examine and include the record in a future manuscript.

Thanks, Ted!
Gosh, I didn't collect a specimen as a voucher. These beetles appeared to be quite numerous for a few days in one of my moth-ing area, so I reckon that I may stumble across other specimens same time next year, Ted. Check with Jerry Fauske, curator of the ND State Insect Research Collection at NDSU, which is just 75 miles south of here. Jerry was collecting in the Emerado area last summer (2012) and he may have pinned specimens of this beetle for you to examine. Best wishes, Carl Barrentine

thanks, Ted!

Moved tentatively; will seek confirmation. Nice!
Moved from Longhorned Beetles.

Thanks, v belov!
Thank you for the ID!
