Grasshopper to Id - Dichromorpha viridis - Female
North Judson, Indiana, USA
June 26, 2003
Need help with ID, some type of short horned grasshopper. This guy was sitting on the desk infront of the computer. I appreciated him posing for the picture.

Dichromorpha sp.?
I don't know what the distribution on various Dichromorpha species are in Indiana, but if you download the "Grasshoppers of Florida" pdf key (1), that may help get you started on narrowing it down...

I agree.
D. viridis. Moving this magnificent image to the guide page.
