reminds me of
Pyrrharctia isabella - Isabella Tiger Moth - Hodges #8129
this individual is worn, but I think this is an Isabella Tiger - momma to a wooly bear caterpillar 8-)

I do believe you've got it! There are a lot of those woolly bear cats around here in the fall, so now I know the moth that produces them. Thanks for the help!
