Spotted on the Veit Springs trail near the Snowbowl. Area is ponderosa and aspen forest at about 8600 feet elevation.

I would agreed that this is a female Sesia tibialis.

Thank you, yes. I saw another one on 7/7/13 on a different section of the same mountain, so apparently they like the San Francisco Peaks.
