Unknown insect (wasp?) - Entypus fulvicornis

Unknown insect (wasp?) - Entypus fulvicornis
Carbondale, Jackson County, Illinois, USA
July 8, 2013
All black except antennae. Antennae were very active.
Although this image was taken just before a short flight, the insect generally moved awkwardly from stem-to-stem on its legs rather than flying.

Pompilidae
Spider wasp of some sort, but I can't get you any lower in taxonomy than that.
