Snakefly larva from grape bark - Negha meridionalis

Snakefly larva from grape bark - Negha meridionalis
Fowler, Fresno County, California, USA
April 6, 2006
Size: 25 mm
This snakefly species was abundant as larvae in two neighboring vineyards under bark. Associated with grape mealybugs, but never observed eating anything.
The identification is presuming this larva is the same species as the adults abundant in the same vineyard.
