Ground Beetle

Ground Beetle
Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA
May 16, 2004
I'm certain this is a Carabid beetle, but would anyone know what genus / species it might be? It's fairly common here in the midwest. Thanks.

Moved
Moved from Ground Beetles.

IS! Harpalinae
and perhaps genus Anisodactylus - but safe genus ID from photo is almost impossible in this group of genera.

regards, Boris

Harpalinae?
Looks like something in the Harpalinae subfamily, but I can't be positive. Moving to family level for now.
