The abdomen had an upturned hook at the apex.

I believe this is a female Limoniid Crane Fly; ID comments appreciated.

Yes, a female crane fly

I was glad to get these larger and better photos. It is much easier to photograph a Crane Fly at lights than on a slender plant in the dark woods!
