Dragonfly - Tramea carolina

Dragonfly - Tramea carolina
Venice, Sarasota County, Florida, USA
September 24, 2006
This dragon was floating in the ditch. I snapped a quick photo (this one) and scooped it up to get out of the ditch and take a better photo. Well, it flew away, even with it's tore up wings. It filled the palm of my hand. Any possible way to ID? I've went through the guide and Dunkle is absolutely no help to me.

Carolina Saddlebags
Tramea carolina. Looks like an immature male, which is why it doesn't have the bright red color of the mature male in Dunkle.
