Mottled Longhorned Beetle (Anthophylax attenuatus)? - Monochamus notatus
Border of Shenandoah National Park, Rappahannock County, Virginia, USA
Found at night on porch of house in damp woodland location on border of Shenandoah National Park. This was a while back, but I remember it was pretty big, like the size of a coreid or assassin bug.

Could be a Spined Oak Borer?
Could be a Spined Oak Borer?

Different subfamily
This is a member of the Lamiinae, while Elaphidion mucronatum (spined oak borer) is in the Cerambycinae. Also, take a look at the pronotum of the two species. Elaphidion doesn't have the big tubercles on the sides as seen in this specimen.
